Little Red Riding Hood + The Little Match Girl crossover art

If you find yourself lost in a dark forest and all you have in your hands to light the way is a little matchstick, it's so easy to fear what's ahead. But even if the darkness around you covers your path and hides everything in sight, let the stars above show you the way and how they shine bright in the nightsky.

Initially, I wanted to draw a Christmas themed art for the holidays, however I wasn't really in the mood to draw something fun and cheerful and so I only managed to create this one instead. I was aiming for the storybook/fairytale feel so I did a pen and ink drawing at first, but decided to color it digitally afterwards XD

2016 is almost over and looking back, and I feel like I haven't really grown much both as a person and an artist. Well I've always been a person who worries a lot over unnecessary things but lately I'm just having that kind of feeling like being lost or something...like I don't even know what to do next even though I know exactly what I want to do. But even in this confused state I'm in, I still try to look ahead with hope, keeping the fire of the little matchstick burning. I hope everyone's fire keep on shining bright too
